La Cite des Enfants Perdus

Got sent this YouTube link by Theresia. It's a great example of the transition into adulthood, as well as an amazing soundtrack.

Peer Review

At the student-run Peer Review last Wednesday, Freya suggested that I look at Father Time for the monster design. Can anyone else think of any monsters/mythical beings who have represented time or suffering throughout the years?

Cheers in advance!

Twisted Woods

I realise it might be a little late in the day to be thinking about the shape of the trees, but I saw this lovely piece by Stanley Donwood (the guy who does the Radiohead artwork) and couldn't resist putting it up.

More prettiness!

Hey! Ken here!

after the latest production meeting I decided to try out a more pastel-y colour palette as Wayne suggested. I did, however, realise that Macs seem to oversaturate my work, which is a pain because I now need to change them all so they don't look oversaturated nor bright as they did in the Production meeting with Wayne.

Just now we're modelling, with Sarah modelling the girl and myself modelling the landscapes. Hopefully a "final" landscape will be resolved soon :)

Grrr .......Macs!

Colour Tests - Girl

I wasn't going to upload that last one, but I caved. Much as I still think purple hair works best, I'm trying to resist the temptation as that particular design feature would bring this whole project just a little bit too close to a certain multi-award winning music video. Comments please (and DON'T say purple works best)?

Abuse of the "Smudge" tool anyone??

So I finally decided to indulge my inner geek (INNER geek?? Ha.) and the resulting monster is a mash up of various Warhammer daemons. This is the smoke monster in Scene 2. The more solid monster in the previous blog post is Scene 1 fare.
