Anyone know what's up with these Constraints?

Dodgy nCloth Constraints from Sarah Gillespie on Vimeo.

The Maya Help documentation has been completely useless. Ironically, the nCloth is working much better than before (and I've no idea what I did differently this time!), but these Point on Poly Constraints are completely messed up. :( Help would be appreciated!

  1. It might be that the nCloth is intersecting the body. If there isn't much space between them when the cloth simulation begins, sometimes it freaks out, as the cloth needs to 'settle' first.

I had a similar problem, so it might be that, but it's hard to tell without seeing the Maya files.

If it is that, I resolved my one by scaling the cloth out from the body slightly, and letting it 'fall' into place first...

  2. Tried it!

Sage advice, Dylan :) It was still freaking out a little bit, but much less than before. Managed to fix it completely by changing the Collide Strength of the body from 1 to 0.01, and the Collide Strength of the nCloth to 0.5.

    Cheers :)
